The basic bowls are gochujang or soy bibimbap (₩12,000). They are namul-first, so they work without meat. Vegans: ask for soft tofu instead of stir-fried kimchi. Step up to nungae-seungma or crispy beef bulgogi bibimbap.
Two people: Couple Set. Three: Musketeers. Four: Happy Set. Minari-jeon and Eonyang bulgogi sit well with makgeolli. Order two bottles at once and we pour them into a hangari jar.
“We ordered minari-jeon and kimchi-jjim before the kids arrived. The minari-jeon is the signature here — still crisp later, with a clear water-parsley scent. Kimchi-jjim was seasoned just right. We ate it with tofu like dubu-kimchi, and the makgeolli went down easily.
“Recommended when you want a clean, careful Korean meal in Insadong. The hanok mood is good and the food came out one dish at a time with care. Not heavy or overly spicy. Fine for an Insadong date, a family meal, or a small gathering.
“We ordered Eonyang bulgogi. It was not too salty. The mild miyeok-guk sat well with the meat. Makgeolli with it was even better.
“We came a little early and sat without a wait. Staff were kind. Minari-jeon, spicy octopus, and makgeolli work very well together.
“We came to Anguk for Jogyesa and looked for Korean food nearby. It is close to Exit 6. Staff were kind. Gochujang bibimbap and nungae-seungma bibimbap were not salty and tasted good. Recommended if you want Korean food in Insadong.
“Bibimbap with stone-pot pork galbi-jjim made a full meal. The bowl had plenty of bean sprouts and namul, and the sauce was not aggressive. The galbi was soft, and the slightly sweet seasoning worked with the noodles too.
